Went out to do an easy 4 miler, ended up only doing 2.25. My right knee was hurting and so was my left ankle. Idk what’s up there unless still just aren’t happy from Sunday. Anyways, yoga tonight then I think I may pop into the gym and get an hour in on the bike to at least work my cardio more.

Having a good day today. Had EQ conditioning this morning and I was the only girl on a 90 girl team who knew what tabata was. Proud. Then did an easy 2.25 mile run this afternoon. It is gorgeous outside so I went with no shirt :). The first mile felt pretty good, my stride was a swingy and smooth. Skipped my 800’s today. We did about 15 minutes of 100m sprints this morning in EQ and I am super sore from lifting so I’m just not going to push it. I’d rather push Sunday than now. So tonight I’m going to foam roll, boulder with a friend, swim some, and then soak in the hot tub. Should be an excellent night.

Yoga was fun today :) It was nice to stretch out my legs because they were super sore from yesterday by this evening. To ward off any feelings of valentines day loneliness, you can find me in the gym doing a lower body workout and then in the pool working on my form. Then rock climbing with some friends to make it a 3 a day workout today (I had EQ conditioning this morning)

Good workout today. It ended up being freezing some here and there was ice and water everywhere so I just did 45 minutes of intervals on a stationary instead of doing mile repeats. Had a tri meeting tonight and it was good :) I am currently the only girl (on Baylor’s team) competing on sunday so that should be interesting.

Weekly Goals 2/12/12
I did excellent with my goals last week, I didn’t quite hit my running goal but I swam more than I thought and biked more as well. So for this week I have my first duathlon so my goals won’t necessarily be training goals but just a bit of speedwork, maintaining, and shoveling carbs down my throat.

Good run this morning
Last night I was planning on doing like 7 miles. Then I went to a party and this morning I decided to cut it down to 4.5. Then I walked outside and it was FUCKING FREEZING. Long swim sesh

I can't wait for this week to be over
Tomorrow I have early morning EQ conditioning, then class (calc test. fml), then another workout in the p.m (plus some climbing with a friend), and then a pre-law event. Friday I’ll probably do weights and bike, then class, then pick up my meds, then get my hair cut, and then I get a consultation with the tri coach for a workout plan. Then I can sleep. That is the most exciting part.
Is it nap time yet?

Tomorrow
Morning workout will consist of 4 800m repeats with a 1:30 minute rest between each followed by a 1500m swim. Then in the evening I will have an hour of POWER yoga with the EQ team. Should be good :)

the next time my god damn room mate feels the need to criticize me or any of my habits I am going to go on an invective that will slowly suffocate her very being.
But as of this afternoon I will just dead lift and bike her blatant hypocrisy and juvenile tendencies out of my system.

I do not understand how I can get up at 5, go workout, shower, sleep for an hour, and then get up and go to class and she is still sleeping when I leave.

Weekly Goals 2/5/12
-Eat like an athlete who has an important race coming up and not like the fat kid inside me
-Run 20 to 30 miles, with at least one day of 800 repeats and stay on top of icing, wrapping, and biofreezing my ankle so it doesn’t get worse
-Get in at least one day of swimming
-Lift at least 3 times

6 miler this morning was good
My time was only 2 minutes slower than my 10k race time this November which I’m pleased with because I definitely had more miles on me before that race than when I ran this morning. My ankle wasn’t being tempermental in November either. Contentment :)
